Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade launched in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is better than someone with no brokerage experience.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be in the works. That would be a good addition once it is live.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
This is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
